This is one of the earliest photos of "New Marissa" take about
1873. This is looking north up main street from the south side of
the railroad tracks (RR ties can be seen mid photo on left). On the
left is the corner of the depot and then the Hamilton House behind that.
In the right (east side) is first the Buckeye house tavern. The next
building north is the first structure in Marissa - the Hamilton Store
built in 1871. The last building is the Borders Store.
